French Cooking Classes and Schools

French cooking classes is different in concept from regular cooking schools. The concept is a combination of a vacation with French cooking lessons. Establishments offering French cooking classes provide only the best chefs, top-of-the-line kitchen gadgets, and the best working kitchens. There are also local French Cooking classes in the United States.
The Walnut Grove offers French cooking classes and strictly keeps a maximum of four people per chef. This way there is a personalized approach in the teaching technique. Emphasis is placed on the freshest ingredients, and flavours as well as clean and careful food preparation and presentation. The school stick by its commitment to let students learn by doing rather than learn by looking.
Promenades Gourmandes provide French cooking classes and gustatory tours in Paris. Paule Caillat, the host and teacher, is an experienced cooking teacher and food consultant. Caillat has been sharing her passion for French food since 1997.

Marguerite’s Elegant Home Cooking provides French cooking classes not only to individuals but also to businesses. In Cooking with Friends in France, students get immersed in every aspect of French cooking. Students get a first-hand experience in going to the market, using the cheese cave, buying fresh meats, fish and poultry. Every student get the one-of-a-lifetime experience of French cooking classes in Julia Child’s kitchen!

In Taste of Provence, this class includes accommodations, tuition, 5 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 5 dinners. Fares and other transportation fees are not included in the program. The French cooking classes have a provencial menu per season. Students get a chance to get vegetables and other fresh ingredients from the market and see the sights.

You could attend French cooking classes provided by Chef Francois Dionot who will provide a four-hour demonstration session. All students get a copy of the recipes before the class starts. Chef Dionot, born in France, was schooled in the best of the best tradition of French cuisine. The French cooking classes are held at the L’Academie de Cuisine in Betheseda, Maryland.
